dollhouse curtains

My friend Pamela brought me some tulle from her son's wedding decor to use to mend the sleeves on one of the princess dresses for Holly. I only needed a tiny piece for that but it's such fine soft tulle that she gave about two metres of it to make great sheer curtains in miniature.

On one of her trips from Nova Scotia, Cheryl showed the gang at Mini Day Out this wonderful method for decorating tulle.

Stretch the tulle in an embroidery hoop.

Mix a small amount of acrylic paint with an equal amount of Aleene's Original Tacky Glue. Using the end of a toothpick, fill in holes in the tulle to make a design of your choice.

Here's a very simple border done in green.

Lots of possibilities for colours and designs.
